Special Plate Transfer
If you have a reserve or vanity plate that you would like to transfer to a member of your family you will need to send a letter to the registry with the proper RMV documents. If you are transferring to someone with a different last name and address it may be necessary to get the letter notorized and/or provide additional documentation such as a marriage certificate. You can use the following format for the letter or make up your own.
